Love's Last Dance: Reissued?
This version of Love's Dance was written and recorded in 1989. It was not the first song I wrote, but it was the first one to be fully recorded, mixed and mastered. It actually got some radio play in 1990, which was cool.
Adam Walli (whom I worked on Sweet Maria with, as well as a few other songs that haven't been released) owned a Tascam 238 Syncaset (I think that was the model), which allowed you to record 8 tracks on a cassette. It was pretty state-of-the-art.
For decades, all I had was the final mix of this and other songs I had written around that same time period.
In 2017, Adam gave me the digitized versions of the individual tracks for each of these songs, and I was able to remix them for the modern, digital age.
This year, I decided to upload the original recording of Love's Last Dance to the streaming services thirty-four years after it was recorded. It was a strange feeling getting a very small taste of what the artists I grew up with experienced when remastering their influential works for digital formats.
I hope you enjoy listening to Love's Last Dance as much as I did creating and recreating this work.

Over the years, I've performed this song many times. It's had verses added, adjustments to the instrumentation and other changes which may eventually lead to another version being released. Time will tell.
Sincerely,
Mitch Ross
